Upholstery ↗ Leather ↗Fabrics we clean
We check the manufacturer's care label before choosing a method — not every fabric can be cleaned the same way.
Natural fibres
Cotton, linen, wool, silk and bamboo. These can need extra care around moisture, colour movement and water marks.
Synthetic fibres
Polyester, polypropylene, nylon, acrylic and microfibre. We still check the cleaning code and construction.
Textured & blended fabrics
Velvet, chenille, boucle, corduroy and mixed-fibre upholstery. Pile, texture and backing affect the process.
Leather & alternatives
Protected leather, aniline and semi-aniline leather, suede, nubuck, faux leather and vinyl each need a suitable assessment.
Care codes often include W, S, WS/SW and X. We check the label and test suitability before any wet, low-moisture or solvent-based treatment. Learn about delicate fabric cleaning ↗
Stains we treat
Each stain is treated on its own merits — the fabric and how long it's been there both affect the approach.
Food & drink
Coffee, tea, red wine, juice, soft drink, milk, chocolate, sauces, curry and food grease.
Body oils & products
Perspiration, skin oils, makeup, sunscreen, hair products and headrest or armrest soiling.
Pet accidents
Urine, vomit, faeces, saliva, muddy paw marks, pet hair and related odours.
Other marks
Blood, ink, crayon, wax, mud, water rings and dye transfer. Fading, bleaching and wear may be permanent damage rather than a removable stain.
Methods we use
We'll confirm which method suits your item — these aren't interchangeable across every fabric.
Hot-Water Extraction
A cleaning solution and hot water are applied, then extracted back out along with the loosened soil.
Steam Cleaning
Steam vapour is used to clean the fabric surface. Often grouped with hot-water extraction, but not the same process.
Low-Moisture Cleaning
Less liquid is used, with controlled extraction and faster drying — considered for moisture-sensitive fabrics.
Specialist Dry / Solvent Cleaning
A solvent-based method may be considered where the care code calls for it. Suitability depends on the fabric and professional assessment.
We inspect the item, check the care code, vacuum loose soil and select appropriate spot treatment before cleaning. Leather care is assessed separately from fabric cleaning. Explore couch steam cleaning ↗
Please note: stain removal results are not guaranteed. What comes out depends on the fabric type, how old the stain is, its condition, and any prior treatment or damage. We'll give you an honest assessment during inspection before any work starts.
